MA Platform Plans $575 Million Hokkaido Resort

MA Platform plans a major resort on a 1,057-hectare site, in the Uenae area of Tomakomai.  The USD $575 million destination resort is envisioned to feature hotels and large cottages as well as health-care facilities to cater to medical tourism.   The cottages will be offered for sale, with customization possible.

The resort project will target affluent foreigners interested in an extended stay (a week or more) in Hokkaido.

The resort is a 15-minute drive from New Chitose Airport.

Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan and Japan’s largest and northernmost prefecture.  Hokkaido’s largest city is Sapporo, which hosted the 1972 Winter Olympics.
