The redevelopment (regeneration) of Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds is active.  The showgrounds is in the midst of a 15-year, three phase process.

According to RNA’s website, the project includes the upgrade of Brisbane Showgrounds including the completed state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre, Plaza and Porte-Cochere together with 5.5 hectares of new development comprising of The Green and The Yards residential apartments, Kings Gate commercial precinct and the creation of King Street.

The RNA Showgrounds is situated at the periphery of Brisbane’s central business district.  RNA is an acronym for the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland. The RNA was established in 1875 with Governor Sir William Cairns as its President.

The regeneration of Brisbane RNA Showgrounds is a project of Lend Lease, in joint venture with the showgrounds.   Lend Lease was selected as RNA’s redevelopment in 2009.
